(click menu in the lower left to change what data you are looking at) They currently rate the NY assembly as a 100% chance of returning a Dem supermajority, and a 62.1% chance of a NY state senate supermajority.
With this awful election cycle the one bright light might be watching Cuomo's vetoes get overturned over and over again. Quite the rebound from IDC control.
Thank you. The only thing I would like to add is that the same elected officials who gripe about "gentrification" may oppose needed new housing in their districts (Jimmy Van Bramer for example.)
finally someone said it. well i think at the time graubard was pissed about it. but otherwise it got very little press. our centrist betters are 'strangely' unbothered, of course.
If anyone has a leg to stand on for actually doing the work of preventing gentrification, it’s Carlos Menchaca. Perhaps if the Industry City developers had given him all of his demands as a condition for the project’s approval instead of ignoring him, we’d have seen it gone through the City Council. It’s a model to follow through in the future.
