I suppose Garcia's campaign may be appealing in wealthy communities where sanitation is less of an issue. The PMC types who live in those places tend to be qualification obsessed. But the poor sanitation in less central areas, such as the one I live in, doesn't really make the case for her competence. If taking garbage cans off the street is her idea of a solution to sanitation issues, I hate to think what her other bright ideas might be.

Ultimately what will determine my vote is if a candidate seems to have a realistic notion about how to handle public safety and quality of life issues. The very last thing I want is a continuation of the de Blasio era. Even with ranking, this will be a tough choice - no one candidate seems quite right.
