Congrats on the new gig! I have an idea for how you can increase your paid subscriber numbers that wouldn’t require you to do extra work. You could make certain issues of your substack only available to paid subscribers, and the content for those issues could be the NY Magazine articles that are behind a paywall. I really want to read your NY Mag pieces but don’t want to buy yet another subscription so my suggestion benefits me as well as you. I recognize that NY Magazine might have a problem with this idea, but if you are allowed to share some version of the articles, that would be very cool for me and incentivize new subscribers.
